For centuries, the written legacy is the basis for a good view on the past. By studying letters, diaries, memoirs, professional legacies of individuals, articles, photographs and other written, as well as audio-visual materials, researchers can review and reconstruct the history of a country, a society, a profession or a family. Material traces created throughout life have an emotional significance for the individual, but they can be of importance to the wider community, the state or the nation.

Therefore, we invite you to offer us documents that you consider worthy of future generations.

The historical value of the offered material is estimated by members of the Commission for gifts and purchases of archival and library material. Archival material is submitted to the archive, after processing and arranging it becomes available for use to the researchers, except in the case when the benefactor sets the limitations in written form.
